Tangit PVC-U Solvent Cement

The Henkel Tangit Solvent Cement provides a high-strength chemical bond for PVC-U pressure pipes and fittings. This industrial-grade adhesive creates a leak-proof structural weld between rigid PVC components in both pressure and non-pressure systems. It meets the rigorous requirements of EN 14814 and DIN 16970 for water supply and industrial fluid handling.

What’s Included

  • 1 x 1000ml Tin of Tangit PVC-U Solvent Cement

On-Site & Workshop Notes

  • Always clean the pipe ends and the inside of the fitting with a dedicated PVC cleaner before applying this adhesive.

  • Apply a thin layer to the fitting and a thicker layer to the pipe end to ensure proper solvent welding.

  • Do not disturb the joint for at least 5 minutes after assembly to allow the initial set to take place.

  • Wait 24 hours before conducting full pressure tests on the completed piping system.
