• Ensure the mortice pocket is cut to a depth of at least 70mm to allow for the case and faceplate flush fitting.

• Apply a light machine oil to the latch and bolt mechanism annually to maintain smooth operation in high-traffic areas.

• When installing on new timber, ensure the wood is fully seasoned to prevent the lock case from binding due to timber shrinkage or swelling.

• Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the brass handles; a soft dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the finish and prevent tarnishing.
