On-Site & Workshop Notes

  • Always clean the pipe ends and the inside of the fittings with a specialized cleaner before applying this solvent.

  • Cut pipes at a right angle and chamfer the edges at 15 degrees to prevent the adhesive from being scraped off during insertion.

  • Apply a thick layer of the chemical welder to the pipe and a thinner layer to the socket to ensure a proper bead forms at the joint mouth.

  • Do not subject the joint to mechanical stress for at least five minutes after bonding; wait 24 hours before performing a full pressure test.
