On-Site & Workshop Notes

• Ensure pipe ends are chamfered at 15 degrees before applying the bonding agent to prevent scraping the adhesive from the socket.

• Clean both the pipe exterior and fitting interior with a specialist cleaner to remove grease, moisture, and debris.

• Do not disturb the joint for the first five minutes to allow the initial weld to stabilize without misalignment.

• Wait at least 24 hours before performing a pressure test on the newly bonded system to ensure a full cure.

• Store the tin in a cool, dry place and ensure the cap is tightened immediately after use to prevent the solvent from drying out.
