• Always deburr and chamfer the pipe ends before attempting to seat the fitting into the socket.

• Clean both the pipe exterior and the fitting interior with a dedicated pipe cleaner to remove grease before applying solvent cement.

• Hold the joint firmly for 30 seconds after assembly to prevent the pipe from pushing out of the tapered socket during the initial set.
