Powermax 45A Cooker Switch
The Powermax Brass Cooker Unit provides high-amperage power control for heavy-duty kitchen appliances. This 45A rated switch manages the electrical loads of electric ovens and hobs. The double pole mechanism ensures complete circuit isolation during maintenance. It facilitates safe disconnection of both live and neutral lines. This unit operates on standard 250V AC electrical systems. The solid brass faceplate incorporates a protective lacquer coating. This prevents oxidation and maintains the finish in humid kitchen environments.
The internal architecture utilizes silver-nickel alloy contacts. These materials resist welding under high inrush currents. The switch rocker provides a positive snap action to minimize arcing. Integrated neon indicators offer visual confirmation of power status. This feature improves safety by identifying active circuits at a distance. The rear housing fits into standard 47mm deep back boxes. This depth allows for the management of thick 6mm or 10mm cables.

Why Choose Powermax 45A Cooker Switches
-
The mechanical switch life exceeds 15,000 cycles under full load conditions. This reduces the frequency of component replacement in high-use environments. Consequently, the total cost of ownership remains low for property managers.
-
Captive terminal screws simplify the installation process in tight wall cavities. The clear marking of L, N, and E terminals reduces wiring errors. This hardware maintains electrical integrity under significant thermal stress. The robust construction suits the demanding requirements of modern induction hobs. Each unit undergoes factory testing for insulation resistance and dielectric strength. This ensures immediate operational readiness upon installation. The brass aesthetic integrates with the wider range of Powermax electrical accessories.

The brass finish on this Powermax unit is top-notch. It looks very executive in my kitchen compared to the standard white plastic ones. My fundi had no issues installing it and the double pole switch feels very solid when turning it on. Highly recommend if you want that premium look for your cooker point.

Ordered this for my new oven in Syokimau. Delivery was quick and it arrived well-packaged. The 45A capacity is exactly what was needed for the heavy-duty cooker we bought. Good value for money and looks durable.

Solid cooker switch. The brass doesn’t feel cheap at all, it has some good weight to it.

The unit itself works perfectly and handles the load without heating up. Only small issue was the mounting screws provided were a bit short for my deep backbox so I had to use my own. Otherwise, a very decent brass unit for the price.
