Powermax TV Socket
The Powermax Brushed Steel TV outlet provides a secure termination point for coaxial RF cabling in commercial and residential infrastructure. This component integrates into standard 1-gang electrical back boxes using a flush-mount configuration. The faceplate utilizes 304-grade stainless steel to ensure mechanical durability. A brushed finish minimizes the visibility of surface scratches and oil residue during regular use. The internal connection uses a non-isolated female socket designed for terrestrial or satellite signal distribution. Every unit undergoes testing to meet BS 5733 safety requirements.
Engineers often specify this module for high-traffic commercial environments. The metal construction offers superior fire resistance compared to plastic alternatives. Each unit includes a dedicated earth terminal to maintain system grounding integrity. This prevents potential differences between the cable shield and building ground. The low-profile design ensures a clean alignment against the mounting surface. Signal integrity remains a priority in the design of this RF termination point. The internal structure minimizes return loss across standard VHF and UHF frequencies.
Installers secure the coaxial core using a reliable screw-clamp mechanism. This ensures a stable physical connection that resists vibration. The outer shield of the cable makes contact with the internal housing to provide 360-degree EMI protection. Compatibility extends to various coaxial cable types including RG6 and RG59. The 86mm x 86mm dimensions follow standard UK electrical plate sizing. This allows for straightforward replacement of existing fittings. Consequently, the socket maintains high signal quality over extended operational lifespans.
Contractors should use a 25mm minimum depth back box for optimal cable management. This allows sufficient radius for the coaxial cable bend. Tight bends cause impedance mismatches and signal degradation. The brushed steel surface undergoes a passivation process to enhance corrosion resistance. This makes the outlet suitable for humid environments or coastal installations. The mounting screws align with the overall industrial aesthetic. This facilitates quick access for maintenance or system upgrades. The female IEC connector accepts standard male plugs with a friction-fit design.

The metal finish is beautiful but it shows fingerprints quite easily during installation. Make sure your fundi has clean hands! Once it’s on the wall it looks premium, though I wish the packaging was a bit more protective.

Received it the next day in Syokimau. Good value for money and it works perfectly for our DSTV connection.

We are slowly changing all the old white plastic sockets in the lounge to this brushed steel series. This TV point looks very smart and the finish is high quality. Easy to fit as well.

Bought a few of these for a small office project in Westlands. The Powermax brand is quite reliable for these finishes. The coaxial terminal at the back is solid, not like those cheap ones that break when you tighten the screw. My only small issue was the screws provided were a bit long for my shallow backbox, but that’s a minor thing. Overall, a very clean look.
