VIP Silver 20A Double Pole Switch
The VIP Silver 20A Switch provides high-current control for residential and commercial heating units. It handles resistive loads up to 20 Amps efficiently. The double pole mechanism isolates both live and neutral lines to ensure maximum safety. This unit fits standard single-gang back boxes for easy integration into existing electrical grids.
Key Features
-
High-Capacity Load Management
The internal contact system supports continuous 20 Amp current draws for high-wattage appliances like immersion heaters. -
Enhanced Safety Isolation
- Double pole switching breaks both current-carrying conductors simultaneously.
- Integrated neon lamp provides immediate visual confirmation of the power status.
- Silver-plated contact points minimize electrical arcing during operation.
-
Durable Material Construction
The faceplate uses high-impact polycarbonate to resist thermal stress and UV degradation over time.
Engineers require reliable termination points for 4mm or 6mm cables. This high-amperage controller features large brass terminals to accommodate these specific wire gauges. The screw-driven clamping mechanism ensures a low-resistance connection. This reduces the risk of thermal failure at high current levels. The indicator light draws minimal power while providing clear operational feedback to the user.
The silver-finished wall unit integrates seamlessly into modern office or hospitality environments. It utilizes high-grade urea materials to ensure superior heat resistance. Internal components use reinforced copper alloys to handle the thermal expansion associated with heavy-duty cycles. Safety remains the primary design focus for this double-pole isolator. The front plate maintains a low profile while hiding mounting screws for a clean finish. The internal shutter system prevents accidental contact with live internal parts.
This silver-series component undergoes rigorous testing for mechanical endurance. Each unit survives thousands of switching cycles under full load conditions. The silver-plated contact points prevent oxidation during long-term use. This maintains electrical conductivity throughout the lifespan of the device. Installation requires a standard 35mm deep mounting box for adequate wiring space. Compatibility with standard back boxes simplifies retrofitting in established buildings. The terminal markings are clear and indelible to prevent wiring errors during site deployment. This 20-amp power toggle adheres to international safety standards for high-current accessories.

I bought several of these VIP silver switches for a renovation project in Westlands. For a 20A double pole, the price is very fair compared to what you find in most local hardware shops. It handles the load of the AC units without heating up. My fundi was impressed with the terminal space at the back, which made the wiring quite easy. Will definitely order more for the next phase.

Installed this for my instant shower heater at home. The silver finish looks much better than the standard white ones. It feels heavy and well-made, not like those cheap plastic ones that crack easily. Delivery to Syokimau was also very prompt.

Good quality switch. The clicking mechanism is very firm and it looks very elegant on the wall.
